Pay: $25.15 + .75 shift differential = $25.90

Responsibilities

When your actions lead to success:

  • Support and contribute to a healthy and safe work environment following all workplace regulations, policies, and initiatives, including reporting all first aid injuries, accidents, and workplace hazards.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable PPE and Food Safety policies and procedures, wear steel tipped shoes, hearing protection, safety glasses, hairnets, beard nets, etc.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Review and interpret Print Master for job requirements.
  • Work together and coordinate work of support crews ensuring raw materials, cylinders, plates, doctor blades, inks, and supplies are staged and ready for efficient job changeover.
  • Ensure crew members complete tasks safely and per Fresco procedures efficiently and timely.
  • Operate main OCS, HMI panels, and print inspection system.
  • Set machine conditions such as temperatures, tensions, registration and impression.
  • Ensure accurate capture of time, speeds, materials, defects, downtime, and problems affecting quality and waste.
  • Monitor and interpret X-rite and Lab readings.
  • Troubleshoot and correct problems related to quality, waste, speed, and throughput.
  • Ensure effective shift changes by communicating all relevant job requirements, machine conditions, and quality affecting the product and equipment.
  • Assist in care and maintenance of equipment with assigned preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Coach and train assistants and support crews and communicate development to Supervisor.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement projects.
  • Other duties as assigned by your direct supervisor.

Qualifications

When your expertise drives us:

  • Reading and writing skills corresponding to the level of High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years experience as a Flexographic Press Operator possessing a demonstrated understanding of tension control, drying/ventilation, print impression, print deck registration, color rotation, ink dispensing, plate, anilox, and doctor blades and their correlation to product quality and efficiency.
  • Knowledge of Flexographic printing and laminating processes.
  • Computer literate
  • Ability to perform calculations involving decimals and fractions
  • Ability to read a ruler
  • Ability to interpret work order and Print Master.
  • Possess visual acuity to sufficiently identify product non-conformances including basic colors and shades.
  • Customer oriented
  • Motivated and collaborative within a team environment
  • Must be able to problem solve and communicate effectively
  • Good work ethic; attendance and punctuality
  • Effective communication, coaching & training skills
  • Shift flexibility (off-shift and/or 24/7) and ability to volunteer for overtime to cover vacations and surge capacity needs.
