Responsibilities

When your actions lead to success:

  • Bachelors – Business, Engineering or related Field; combination of related education and experience may be substituted for bachelors degree
  • Minimum of 5 years work experience within manufacturing and/or quality assurance. 
  • Review process for dispositioning process non-conformances and provide trend data to production
  • Lead team efforts centered around programs to insure food safety
  • Develops plant training, conducts internal inspections and acts as a point of contact with outside agencies on the topic
  • Together with other members of the leadership team, ensures compliance with Food Safety and Food Quality Plans in addition to customer requirements. Interprets and communicates customer requirements to plant production and/or support department teams. Establishes and Audits PCPs, CCPs and Standard Operating Procedures to define and monitor processes to ensure customer requirements are met. Reviews incidents during which the procedures are not met, and determines appropriate corrective action for employees failing to follow standard procedures
  • Works with leaders in identifying and communicating customer requirements
  • Develops PCP’s to insure customer requirements are met
  • Receive, review, disposition and facilitate the complaint corrective action response process
  • Be knowledgeable of various government regulations, auditorial or legal requirements that must be complied with (i.e. AIB, USDA, FDA, IMS, etc.)
  • Work with the quality assurance team to facilitate effective communication, interaction and support between the quality group and other areas

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of flexographic printing and lamination
  • Statistical process control knowledge
  • HAACP and SQF knowledge
  • Minimum of three years management experience
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Tactful, mature and able to get along with diverse personalities.
  • Ability to operate basic office equipment such as a phone, fax, copier, and printers.
  • Computer literate with a strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Communicates effectively one to one and in small groups. Easily articulates ideas and needs, so people at all levels can understand.
  • Highly organized and self-directed with an ability to prioritize projects combine with the ability to provide and receive direction.
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills with an aptitude to quickly absorb new procedures and new industry advancements.
