Responsibilities

When your actions lead to success:

  • Set up orders in an efficient manner to sustain production standards and to maintain production schedules issued to the manufacturing areas
  • Setup/clean parts for the presses to change over jobs. 
  • Assist press crew in the changing of repair or replacements. Check daily press schedules and provide input to
  • Manufacturing Supervisors and Scheduling. Follow Manufacturing and Company policies and procedures. 
  • Retrieve/Put away sleeves from carousels properly
  • Clean and inspect sleeve and plates
  • Clean parts including anilox rolls, plates
  • Inspect parts for wear and complete proper documentation to repair or replace parts
  • Verify the appropriate level of raw material is available at press
  • Aid in make readies on the press – helps both the 1st Operator and Second Operator
  • Complete the necessary audit forms for industrial motorized vehicles
  • Maintain press cleanliness by performing necessary housekeeping tasks. Utilize scheduled and unscheduled downtime to clean production areas and equipment. Notify supervisor of downtime according to procedures.
  • Take the initiative to learn advanced press operation
  • Follow all procedures to produce a quality product
  • Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications

  • This job is in a manufacturing environment working on and around heavy machinery with high-speed rotating parts; Continuous strobe lights may be present
  • Must have the ability to operate industrial power vehicles
  • Working near various chemicals including inks and solvents, as well as have exposure to dust, high noise levels, and medium heat
  • While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk, and hear
  • Vision requirements include the ability to see clearly at twenty inches or less and free of colorblindness
  • Frequent sitting, bending, and stooping
  • Ability to individually lift up to 50 pounds
  • Expressing or exchanging ideas verbally and in writing
  • Routinely use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, labeler
  • Overtime will be required as assigned
